CoastalWx
I like where I sit for this right now. Right now it looks like all snow to me and inside the best band. I'm feeling if anything this gets crunched a little more south with time , but quite a bit of margin so no northern fringe problems I dont think. Such a trend could save Kevin from an ice storm. Yeah you're good. Even of this went south by 50 miles..everyone would be fine.
Tropopause_Fold
I feel pretty good where I'm at overall. It's very possible it does trend colder. I think what we want to look for, is the PV to try and sit closer to nrn Maine. This way, is deflects the incoming s/w to the south of sne. yes please

Clinch Leatherwood
We'll see that push south at 12z and certainly by 00z I think it's going to push south too. We must be approaching the end of the Mayan universe when we start agreeing this much. 6z ticked south and to the wear closer to the event it's been ticking south for a bit. Long ride back won't do a 10 hr ride for a days skiing again....
hammerz_nailz
I think I'm gonna have to break down and shovel my deck today. There's almost 3 feet of snow on it..and I've loved seeing it pile high to the point where I can't get out the sliding glass doors, but any more added weight and I think it could come down Not to mention that in any kind of emergency situation, multiple egress options are a good thing. cpickett79
We'll see that push south at 12z and certainly by 00z ......the euro is only gonna trend so far you can see the HPC has there money on a icing event from MA/CT Border south.
Tropopause_Fold
I'm with ya, buddy. nam seems to be doing a nice job picking up on the low-level cold. verbatim it's not that exciting out my way yet but the 06z nam surface temps are pretty darn cold right to the shore

Neither BOX, ALY, nor OKX are hinting at an all snow solution (BOX has mostly frozen, but not snow). Universally, they are staying frozen (with the exception of OKX speaking of rain along the coastal-most zones).

Yeah if you are near 128 and west..forget about rain...ain't happening. Even my 2m temps barely get to 32. I don't know if you noticed, but once the airmass gets a sense of any pressure falls to our south, the cold collapses south. If you look at what the NAM and Euro do when the low passes just south of BID, they collapse the cold south at the first sign of any pressure falls. mahk_webstah
TB passed out as soon as I got on 290 currently crashed on the couch, wifey just got home from Deerfield, took one look and said Tequila Barry, although he will be up at 7 shoveling my roof with zero after effects. He's a great guy. Send him up here. Came home to a fooking roof leek in my living...ice dams and melting yesterday.

mahk_webstah
Sounds like heavy heavy possibilities up here this week. And, on a side note, what the hell am I still doing up? I think you are waiting for the Euro Eric.....I'm just reading the thread last night, so I will know soon what you saw.
Damage In Tolland
Gonna be fun trying to figure out where to put 15-30 inches of snow this week in SNE. This is just epic . A year where weenies are growing on trees and we can just reach and pick as many as we want

No, I got home and decided to read the whole flippin' day's discussion. Took 45 minutes. Up at 6:00. That's an FTL in my book. Good that the south guys stay (mostly) snow perhaps. No hard feelings that way.
mahk_webstah
Much juicier for NNE/CNE this run. Chuck'em. Yeah so why did HPC cut our QPF from the 1.5+ to the 1.25+? I always look at that first thing in the morn... Not that I'm complaining about 1.25 qpf and really cold surface temps on top of over 20 inches of snow. mattb65
Congrats MA northward on the 06z NAM (and extreme NW CT) Ouch - Kev is right in the middle of that crazy 1"-20" gradient that occurs over about 75 miles in N CT - but we know where the correction vector is headed...
