ctsnowstorm628
Hopefully I don't have to forecast for Vtrans those days. I need a break. I forecasted for the past 5 out of the past 6 days, so this storm would probably be the most difficult forecast for anyone. Pretty easy in vt i'd say. More along the lines of timing/qpf (supression or good hit,you know?).
Max
FWIW, nogaps just went a couple hundred miles south of its past solution with the low now over the BM instead of ORH And usually that model has a major southeast bias and seeing it go way south just means that a new trend might have just started, i.e. suppression city! This potential storm really would add to the snow pack and also to freshen it up. It's just amazing how much snow there is down here. I know its OT, but Ed I got 22 packed inches around my house! Boston-winter08
Nogaps is all over the place. No support really as of now (12z cmc is close but still north of that solution) correct...but that model is never used as support i just mention it b/c a lot of the mets (and i think kevin) use it as a trend potential gauge
Max
Polar vortex FTL I think the suppression might be due more to the shortwave interaction out west and also that rollover ridge too!
