Quincy
Radar looks fairly impressive over PA right now. Models have the precip hitting dry air and mountains, mostly dying out before reaching our area. We'll have to see what happens. The precip area also looks perhaps a bit further south than anticipated, but we'll see!
NJwinter23
Agree with you up there, If this thing does begin to dry out because of the mountains, I would watch that some enhancement along the coast from Atlantic moisture could still make this worth our while, perhaps more so than the models show. Might be able to squeeze out close to an inch in N/C NJ and NYC later today...
Diego
The radar returns seems to be expanding in scope covering almost all of western and central PA extending just to the north of Washington and northwest of Baltimore, with a narrow band of 30 to 35dbzs oriented from nw to sw over west central PA approaching State College, moving in an easterly direction. Hopefully, it will stay intact.

jm1220
Our clipper's really taking it on the chin over E PA now. Hopefully we can redevelop some snow at the coast with Atlantic inflow. That's kind of what happened last night.

That's kind of what happened last night. lol Ive always wondered how the mountains back there can tear a system up like that. I mean, theyre not even really mountains, theyre glorified hills around 1,500 ft elevation.
sferic
The leading edge always erodes as it transverses across the mountains of PA. The surviving area does usually make it somewhere either noth or south of us. It's gotten cloudier here..I think we'll equal last night's dusting if not more. MJO812
18z NAM brings measurable (<0.1") over the next 10 hours...so a good dusting seems likely. NYC needs 1 more inch to break the record

TwcMan
The ocean might be able to enhance the precip once it reaches the coast. Maybe that is wishcasting but it is possible.
