Moneyman
15:1 ratios with 2.13 qpf would be easily over 2 1/2 feet, heading towards 3 feet. That would be crazy.
Hoosier
Wow the ratios with this would be something then. Certainly over 12:1 maybe over 15:1 If the Euro verified exactly as is, it would be the new benchmark storm for Chicago.
Chicago Storm
Seems like a lot of QPF with a storm moving that fast. I'm guessing a decent amount of the QPF falls with the WAA/isentropic lift QPF about 24 hours in advance of the main storm lifting out? Intense deformation band. snowlord81
Here in north central IN its looking like a massive ice storm (Euro, GGEM) VS. massive snowstorm (GFS, UKIE) I'd certainly rather have the Euro on the all snow side, But I doubt it will occur. The EURO would def. be a major ice storm .75+ with some snow or sleet also I bet.

cyclone77
I can't even fathom that...the city would be SHUT DOWN... Yeah these QPF values are sick. I can't imagine what the feeling would be like if we saw output like this <24hrs out. I think at the least we'll see a nice thumping from this storm, but as epic as what it looks like now remains to be seen. Verbatim, our 1.80" would yield around 20" of snow. That would be awesome, but quite frankly I find it hard to believe lol.
Toronto4
Hmm...sounds really good but I'm kind of skeptical. I'd probably take the GFS QPF, add a tenth or two and go with that for now. A good start for sure with at least 4-5". Maybe a lot more if things fall into place.

I was fixing to warn him to about that before I left for a fish fry. Hopefully he gets a chance to bring it at full speed come monday or something. I can see where his excitement stemmed from in this storm as a weenie. Heck the 84 hr NAM had vets almost losing it. It did get old for some obviously and he was asked many times, multiple events now to tone it down.... I just rolled with it... You roll with it as a mod and its a weenie frenzy though.
