S&P
gone here, except for random patches, there was about 4" in the woods at carnegie abbey this AM
SlantStickers Anonymous
Pack has survived easily, despite lots of flowing water today pack is a widespread 6" with more in shaded areas. I wouldn't really call it snow anymore though... It's white and all but when you pick it up its got the texture of crushed ice.
NorEastermass128
TORCH! Still 40F at midnight. Snow pack took (is taking) a beating!
New Englander
This overnight 40 degree thing is a killer. I would say we have about 10" now.
moneypitmike
I have not been infatuated with snowpack this year--probably because the events have averaged on the meh-side up this way. But, I had about 15" in my open field marker earlier in the week. A few more in the lawn areas and also in the wooded areas. But, as I was pouring my coffee just now, I could see how much more of the temporary fencing around the pool is now visible as a result of yesterday's melt. The ground temp overnight staved-off additional melting of any consequence from the above-freezing temps. On the upside, I'll have better footing to the woodpile with crunchy snow than slop. 38.8/22 off a low of 32.8.
moneypitmike
The road in front of the house is now snow free. Down the hill, it sitll has quite a bit of snow and ice on it. Sand, too, but comments like that appear to belong in the February pattern thread.
CoastalWx
Aside from my one spot that gets sun like 9 hrs a day, pack is still locked up. Got down to 30F last night so it is a brick. Would be nice to get clouds in here.
codfishsnowman
6 to ten, south sunny spots a shade less, protected zones a foot or so
tamarack
Yesterday's 40s only took an inch from the pack, leaving it at 27". The upper 30s holding on well into the night were worrisome, but radiation took over and the temp dropped below 20 this morning.
moneypitmike
Just walked out to the stake in the open wind-blown field. About a foot remaining out there. Surprised to see a little melting of the remaining ice/snow on the driveway with the temp at 35.4/23 and overcast. I guess that's the impact of staying well above freezing. Areas right along the edge of greater snow fall remain solid.
Baroclinic Zone
I look out the window and all the neighbors houses have mostly grass showing. I have 1-2" at most around the house on 80% of the yard. I'm ready for some Spring cleanup.

cja1987
I feel like LL. Torch it all and lets rake. Oh come on, its still full coverage out there with March looking anywhere between frigid and a little chilly. No need to be cold and looking at brown lawns. If it was looking like 60s for the foreseeable future, fine, torch it. Lets get through today and lock this pack up. Plenty of chances coming.
