wncsnow
Morehead City NWS office just issued a Winter Storm Watch for almost all of there area including the Outer Banks. Will Wakefield follow suit? I kinda doubt it will less QPF, but i would be happy with 2 inches from this system.

For AKQ's CWA, the criteria is 4.0" and the forecaster has to be at least 50% confident. Meanwhile, they put up a WSW for parts of NE NC.

I believe 3.0" is the threshold for MHX. Seems to work well. The gradient is even steeper here in PA. We need 6.0" for a warning, while 10 miles south of here, it's 4.0". http://www.erh.noaa.gov/akq/wntr_his.php

Billabong
We will have some fairly dry air to overcome though at the start... so as we all watch base reflectivity we can expect the precip to hit the brick wall, so to speak, for a while late tomorrow night until everything can moisten up in the morning. I would have to go with around 1.0" for KORF.
