WeSuck
1 slushy inch is better than 0 inches! All i really want is some moderate snowfall. It would be very nice

Coach McGuirk
It got down to 37.0 but it's up to 39.2 with and then after this rain shower. Go figure.

Coach McGuirk
I have my doubts that this boundary layer will budge very much since it's already completely saturated.
crainjd
any chance it dries out over night?
WeSuck
We still have some lingering cloud cover over us. Once that clears we should begin to drop off and drier air should filter in to drop our dew points off

Coach McGuirk
any chance it dries out over night? Not really. It's a double edge sword. There will be precipitation since the atmosphere is so saturated but at the same time we'll have a very difficult time getting close to 32.0 because the atmosphere is so saturated. Coach McGuirk
pretty big shift for so late in the game. i think it might be too far north I wouldn't doubt it if the low is stronger, however I would expect more precip at the coast when it exits. WeSuck
Remember nam did this yesterday with the coastal for one run being too far north? Let's see if gfs follows first before believing it. However, .62 max....I might have to make drive north if that happens near richmond...

CoastalWx
i like where i am sitting west of ric Oops...I meant for that post to be in the RIC thread. Yeah the RIC area looks good. If you look on radar, there is a narrow band of heavier precip. That should also traverse the RIC area, but of course where the heaviest band sets up is key. Outside of the heaviest echoes, it may be more of a mix of RASN, while in the band..you get maybe mdt snow. I haven't looked too hard at the lower levels, but it probably would be a thing where you wetbulb to 32-33F or something like that. Congrats on parts of VA getting more snow than me for the winter.
