wolfman23601
How is it freezing rain with temperatures above freezing? Pics or GTFO. I don't have the technology, nor would it matter being the ice is clear and you wouldn't be able to make it out; however, take this from the pilot... http://hamptonroads.com/2012/02/snow-icy-conditions-reported-peninsula " There was also ice reported on the interstate near Mercury Boulevard, a VDOT spokeswoman said." Mercury is the JRB exit and about 3 miles from here. No need to be a dick and I have no idea who the hell you think you are.

wolfman23601
And yet there is ice, though I just went our for a cigarette and now it is mostly rain with less freezing rain and most of the ice is gone now.
Coach McGuirk
And yet there is ice, though I just went our for a cigarette and now it is mostly rain with less freezing rain and most of the ice is gone now. It's called sleet. Freezing rain is when rain sticks to the surface as ice.
whamcity
I refuse to see fighting in one of the only subforums where people are actually enjoying winter precip. And further more: http://www.wvec.com/younews/139657543.html

SoCoWx
Well I'm gonna pull a Ji and cancel the storm for the Courtland/Franklin area. Nothing but rain and sleet here. Yet snow all the way around us nearly on radar.
Coach McGuirk
Well, here it comes. The back end of the winter storm, in about an hour.

Portsmouth Weather
The precip will build back. The latest NAM has at least .35 QPF for all of hampton roads between 1 and 5 am - should be all snow. I still think we end up with at least 2-3 inches. But of course, I could be completly wrong!!
