Martin
JC bumping it up to 2-5 for the metro FWIW Snow Index 10 An area of low pressure will form off the southeast coast Sunday morning and rapidly intensify Sunday afternoon and evening. Rain is likely all day Sunday with the rain changing to snow Sunday late afternoon into the evening from north to south. At this point, the metro area will likely see 2-5" of snow Sunday night before ending at sunrise Monday morning. Areas south and east of the metro will likely see a bit less and areas north and west of the metro will likely see a bit more. Roads will be snow covered Monday morning. Coach McGuirk
I'm still calling 1-3 inches for the Hampton Roads. 1 inch for ORF. 2 inches for Newport News.
WeSuck
0z NMM, getting kind of interesting... 250mb, central NC in the right entrance region of a 160kt jet, 500mb, 40 s^-1 vort going off around ILM attempts to close off, 850-700mb, sick kind of nasty once it gets offshore, closed off at both levels and rapidly deepens, 2 contours at the H7 and 5 on the 850. Quick heavy hitter, verbatim 6 hrs here for a chance of SN, even some convective 40+ dbz in the band through the northern coastal plain on sim. Have not looked at the arw yet but imagine it is similar...
