Coach McGuirk
Extremely sharp cutoff line with the 18z NAM. Peninsula gets nothing while Norfolk is around 2 inches.

Suffolkweather
For fun.... http://www.intellica...px?animate=true Seems to mimic gfs with the fact that rain is falling at ILM,,, GFS had .03" by 7pm for them while NAM had zip. according to gfs the pressure should be 1018.6 at 7pm (1021 as of 3:55). Martin
.47 would be 3-5 at least. If it all fell to the ground. I am a bit worried about the dry air.

Suffolkweather
If it all fell to the ground. I am a bit worried about the dry air. Almost always have to battle dry air in an all snow event around here. But, I would have to think snow ratios are higher than 10:1.... 12:1, maybe even 15:1 for a couple hours. Just thinking that may offset the dry air losses a little.

Jim Lawrence was more on the X-mas storm for WVEC than Lawson. Lawson took forever to raise his #'s. Not as bad a WTKR who had 1-2" on their site until X-mas day. Not as bad a WTKR who had 1-2" on their site until X-mas day. That storm sucked for all the local tv mets since they didn't air at all on the 25th. In my past experience Jeff has done well on the smaller events and has an overall decent track record. We shall see who will win this one. I hope its Don

Suffolkweather
returns really starting to blow up off SE coast ILM had .02" last hour NAM had nothing before 7pm. Not much, but something! Looking for any clues! Jacksonville is getting rain and was not supposed to get any by either model. Just showers though, nothing concentrated.
