Thanks for sharing the pics. In a classic screw job even for the Jersey coast it seems that this area went from heavy rain/sleet to heavy snow then, by the grace of God, what I can only describe as the eyewall kissed the coast and with that we kissed goodbye to 1-3" per hour snowfall rates and ended up with an inch or two of new snow when all was said and done.

some photos include 6 foot snow piles (common) along main roads, in front of local businesses.

the one with the traffic lights is hard to see, but snow is piling up so much that it's literally blocking 1.5 out of 3 lanes.

also, snow piled up along my street, very impressive heights.

Absolutely LOVE the top photo of the fire hydrant! The black and white effect makes the photo so much more dramatic! If I were a director, I would immediately start imagening a 1940's murder mystery film. Try popping out the red and see what you get from it.
