LocoAko Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 We have 49.5" here in New Brunswick so far, and 95-96 totaled 76.5" ... so I think it is possible although probably unlikely to beat that total. A-L-E-X Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 if we could only get a HECS out of next week's system, then we'd nail it and be in shooting range of exceeding an unprecedented 80"(unprecedented to the extent of when official snowfall records started being kept in 1868). It's also too bad that there's an absence of data for the little ice age. Its too bad they didnt keep official records earlier in the 1860s, because according to Don S. there was a winter in the early 1860s when NYC got over 90 inches of snow.
