mitchnick
pretty much. it bounces around at 24 hours yet people scrutinize it at 78. for the SREF run to show what it did, most of the other members must have been awfully cold, at least that's what I'm guessing

I believe the last 3 or 4 runs of the gfs have kept JYO and NW all frozen...let's go with that one until it throws us off.

MDstorm
Ridge out west is too far west ( as depicted by NAM at 84 hours). The ridge needs to shift east. MDstorm

snowfan
If you thought the pepco and BGE outage maps were colorful on Wednesday night, just wait until this ice storm hits. Some of you will be without power for a week. Better start trimming those branches away from the lines.

clueless
Newbie here. Have been reading the last few posts, so question is: models have not been in agreement - and what was that bi-polar thing????? anyway --- and temperatures seen to be warmer to support more of a 'sneet' or ice event, no? It does seem we always trend colder than predicted -- hence my skepticism on temps, unless this comes so far west.... Has this storm been named?
