Ji
on the other side of the spectrum, how about the awful snow hole in central PA. those poor guys are in an awful multi-year slump while people close to them are getting historic snows

mitchnick
Eh...I'm just bitter...I want that much snow I'll take half of it and be happy as a lark nah, that's too much for me, maybe I'm just too d@mn old for that much snow to me, there is something invigorating when I see the first flakes of a storm falling on the bare grass, knowing it will be covered soon that's why the 12/19 storm was so great I sat outside drinking cocktails for an hour watching the snow when it first started that night but, to each his/her own

PhineasC
mt ct blizz--tolland ct Totally staged. I have huge mounds even now after this storm. He has a very wide driveway. That's what happens when you blow from the center and then blow that upwards onto the pile rather than outwards.

I-83 BLIZZARD
It is awful there. The southern tier had from 8 to 15 on the line while Harrisburg 50 miles north got 3 or 4 and nada just north of there.

mattie g
Guys...if you look at the right side of the garage (looking towards it), you'll notice that there's a nice gap between the top of the snowpile and the garage. Looking at the picture and taking everything into account, I'd say that the snow on the ground is probably about halfway up the garage doors - probably just a little less. A lot of snow, no doubt, but those piles certainly make it look more impressive than it actually is. And it's pretty dang impressive already. And I agree with mitchnik - that's just too much. What are you actually going to do with it? Swim in it? Having it melt, then getting another 20" would be far more enjoyable. But I digress. Bring on the Euro - I wanna see that thing settle into a groove with the GFS.

Midlo Snow Maker
One of our favorite mets is calling for a breakdown in the pattern after Feb 4th...much milder air coming in where did his severe cold wave coming east of the miss go? Solo2
Since we are getting nostalgic....this is a pic of completely untouched snow after the last (feb 10) event. It wasn't touched after the Feb 6 storm either. The tree is a bit over 8' high. You can see the top 2" of my wipers...... After digging it out the piles on each side were 7' easy...
