Sey-Mour Snow
I don't like these storm reports from okx.. seeem way too low.. several guys in here last night.. from the bridgeport area were between 14-17" and it snowed 3 more hours.. how did bridgeport come in with only 13" they won't take by 16.5" report.. however everyone on facebook around is is reporting 15-17" ive seen reports from new haven, west haven, shelton, derby, stratford, bridgeport all higher than what they are reporting.. lindywx
My final summary goes like this: Part 1- 3" snow Part 2- 1/2" sleet " - 9"snow The 1/2" of sleet @ 2/1 ratio is equivalent to 2.5" of snow lost but the 1/2" is counted and gets added to the 9" of snow. Plus you cant count on every average joe to measure snow properly, especially with over a foot already on the ground. Finished with about 15.5" total storm last night, 54.5" on the season, and 22-23" base on ground. Piles/total amount of snow around is about as much as I have ever seen. Saturn510
The coolest part about all of this , is going into this season it seemed like it would be a crappy winter because of a strong la nina. It goes to show you dont judge a book by its cover lol. And this storm looked like and was forecasted to be mostly rain Wow

NJwinter23
Does anybody know if the current PNS reports for Mount Holly/Upton are for both parts of this storm or just for Part 2, or a confused mixture of part 2 totals and combined totals? In Monmouth County, 13.5" reports are the highest reports right now, but those ones, at least for Holmdel, are only for part 2...3-4 inches fell yesterday morning too and it appears some counties with the 17"+ totals are tallying both events?
