weathafella
We did okay, didn't we, huh. Not bad! Being on the good side of the cf last night is the difference between BOS 9.9 and our generally 12ish.
MaineJayhawk
Sounds like some good stories for the GTG. But not from me ... only 2.1". Still, that's a win considering yesterday after 12z models I was practically blowing cirrus. PWM has more ... I'm interested to hear the total as my second call of 5-8 may verify. weathafella
Also...BOS 37.3 for January to date. If we can squeeze some snow out Saturday and the clipper re-emerges (possible) we could get a 40 inch January. Anyone have Logan's total for 2005 Jan?. Collinsville
They definitely have an overmeasurer over there this season. They are not coming in with any totals on the low side. My biggest beef is where they added almost 7" to their Boxing Day total which was not a measurement error. They boxing day storm I think the really had about 9" so that one is 4.9" too high The first Norlun on the 7th? they reported 3.8" with maybe some table scraps left but then inexplicably came in later with 6.6". No idea there Then the second norlun they came in with 3.3" when East Granby right next door had 0.5". they may have had 1" tops. Again no idea what went on there, it was windy though So I personally would say BDL is over by about 5" in December and 5" in January.
GaryS
10 to 12 inches here in Marblehead and still snowing lightly at this moment... I'll take a more accurate measurement after I finish shoveling... Let's see what the clipper brings if anything Saturday and we'll see how Feb starts out with a chance for a Storm on the 1st! Hell of a winter...

I could've sworn we had a bunch of snow in December, and for the clipper to bring us to 40 on January, we'd have to be in the high 30's for the month already... What were the totals in Billerica, Tewks wilm area? Wife said she thought a foot. Not sure we're they are going to put this around town, was already crazy snowbanks. CoastalWx
Wow that's a little lower that I thought for Logan. I wonder if the wind had anything to do with it. I probably have over a foot, but with the wind and drifting, I'm calling it 11.3" There's a sh*tload of snow out there.

40/70 Benchmark
Just got done shoveling on no sleep and I am toast. 12.5" final Depth: Ranges from 25.5" in the most exposed spot to 32.5" in the most heavily shaded spot, thus the avg depth of 29" eclipses my previous high of 27" in Jan 1996...and this one will not be consmed by a torch in short order....BEST WINTER OF MY LIFE. I haven't seen the official measurement, but just eyeballing it I'd say we ended up with just shy of 3". More than I expected yesterday afternoon, but less than I hoped for when I went to bed based on apparent radar trends. This one unfolded a lot like last year's near misses, in that the good stuff was deflected just as it tried to make inroads into ME. Congrats SNE, yet again. I haven't looked at the long range in a while but I don't think there's anything close to a torch on the horizon is there? That's th big diff with this year, we usually see a few warmups to damage the pack.
