Like in my area...the sunny side of the street probably has a 19-21" depth and I have a 31" depth...but I don't go by my shady spot that has 3 feet. At any rate I guess its semantics, but I prefer people to do it the truthful way as to not skew obs so we are comparing apples to apples rather than comparing someones shady spot that never gets any sun to a poster who says 14" depth in total sun.

I love seeing that come springtime... the sunny side of the street in March can get down to grass in between the snowbanks, while the north side of the street has two feet of refrozen, firm pack.

Just an FYI for those in SNE who are getting crushed... many of you now have recieved more snow this month than 3,000ft on Mount Mansfield.

Our 3,000ft plot shows 67" new snow so far since January 1st (168" on the season) and the snow depth is 38".

The fact that many of you are AOB 1,000ft in elevation and have snow depths and snowfall this month similar to 3,000ft in the upslope region of VT is incredible.

Hard to tell with the drifting, but it looks like a foot of snow. Given that we had maybe an inch of new snow on the ground when I went to bed around midnight, and it had stopped snowing when I got up at 6:55, that must have been some intense snow rates.

My back hurts thinking about this. I have a small driveway , but a big ice rink cleared on the pond out back.

Natick/Wellesley line.

Edit. I just went out. More like 13 inches. Looks light, shovels heavy.

Finished clearing the sidewalks and side/back paths to my house, clearing hydrant and a space for the garbage cans. Have not croaked. Measured in a few spots for kicks. Average around 12-12.5 or so. Not bad!

How are the roads and sidewalks in Boston? My wife wants to visit a friend in Brookline today, and I'm wondering how the parking situation will be.

Looks rough today. Walking now is down the middle of the street but maybe by later major lots will be plowed. Streets have been plowed ongoing from the onset of the snow...they do a great job here.

I would place it currently between a mild to moderate disaster but by noon it should be fine. Then again I had to walk through a 2 foot drift on the sidewalk to get to the T stop.

Looks like Stafford beat Staffordville

...TOLLAND COUNTY...

STAFFORD 18.0 611 AM 1/27

TOLLAND 16.0 616 AM 1/27

STAFFORDVILLE 16.0 520 AM 1/27 CO-OP OBSERVER

ELLLINGTON 13.0 607 AM 1/27 HAM RADIO

VERNON 13.0 600 AM 1/27 HAM RADIO

I saw that too and then saw that his measurement was at 0520....maybe he squeezed out more after that? I have to do an "official" measurement for Stafford Springs so we can have every village in town represented but I'm closer to 16" I think.
