RED FLAG....OMG this is gonna miss us to the SE.

lol...well this system messed with models so many times i just didnt' think it was gonna come to fruition.

Then when i read the ny AFD THAT Said 8-14 on a line from nyc to hvn to ORH and rates 2-3 from that line East in bands.....i finally said.....i can breathe a sigh of relief.

Just went for a walk. It's indescribable out there. Another inch fell during my 20 minute walk giving me a settled snow depth for the storm of 11.5 inches, but it's definitely at least a foot by now. Took some photos and video. I'll try posting the photos soon. Deformation band seems parked over CT. If it doesn't weaken or move over the next few hours, we're going to make another run at 20". BTW, our total snow depth on the ground is somewhere between 26 and 30 inches. What a January!

yeah, this is incredible now.

ORH county is getting the pivot point right now...the SPC analysis shows the 5h deformation right over our heads...but it will move east.

My 5-9 might bust. But I have probably 5-6" here. We can maybe pick up another 2-4 in the next 2 hours if it stays over us and then I will bust.

The NESIS rating on this storm will be the highest of the season so far given the shellacking DC-BWI, PHL, NYC, and now BOS-PVD-ORH has taken.

Not even close Jerry.

The 20" amounts in the Jan 12 and Dec 26 system will blast this system into the stone age.

But...the population extent is easily double for this one right?

Wont make up for it...this is a big nor easter, but not a monster KU storm...this might be a cat 1 KU storm. Tell me how many KU storms were high rated without widespread 20" amounts?
