Clinch Leatherwood
The whole area in general shows signs of "darkening" on radar. It's ripping here in Dot. Powers been out 3 times in ten minutes god I hate living near the ocean sometimes. It's filling in again and the whole thing finally is rotating W again. Phil's area is going to get back into some good stuff, and hopefully he's cold enough out there now. Mesonet shows a lot of 34-36 though out that way. Sorry Will. I don't know what it is - But I only have 5.5", 2.5" from 11pm. Just not adding up here. And I always get more than Attleboro. I don't get it. AMAZING Stats from the Airports/Cities. This is Incredible. 2009-2010. Top 3 Winter of all-time for the US. Now This Winter. Jeez. Nothing coming out of NCEP, even the subsidiary sites have pooped out. They may have decided to pull the plug on the NAM. back to heavy(er) snow, power is out aside of the lights .2 miles away which are essentially invisible. Rapidly accumulating, winds have lightended some in the last 15 minutes.

Clinch Leatherwood
Yes I was! I have never left it. I seriously thought I was losing my mind. If you want to check me look at my totals for the Boxing Day and HECS. No slantage. OK, here is the sidewalk with me on the porch. I cleared out the lawn on both sides and a lot of the driveway at midnight. I stuck the ruler in several spots and it averages to right about seven. The ruler shot is in the lawn and then in the driveway. Obviously it's been quite windy, but 7 seems to be a good total from the area. Ok here's a technical measuring question for the experts, one I don't know the answer to. In your situation where you have snow banks, mounds and everything else...would you need to measure on the top of them or on a snow board to get an accurate reading? Otherwise, if you measure in the troughs on a cold windy night isn't that going to contaminate high? I've always measured on the high ground, flat surface. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. In fact I think I am doing it wrong because I measured 1.5 where the NWS employee measured (within a few miles) 3.5 today...so I'm pretty sure I'm using an Ocean State Job Lot ruler.
