jasonli18t
Jason you can see the precip settling in a almost slowing down a bit in it's eastward progression. Feeling REAL good for us absolutely. quite a bit of snow on the ground out there now, some of the piles after this storm are going to be impressive. Dosh
Whats so special about the eastern half of NJ that seems to set up deformation bands this winter? is it just the juxtaposition with where lows typically loop around, or where the main CCB kicks in as lows bomb? seems like middlesex/ocean/monmouth/union/essex/hudson/bergen counties in NJ are winning in every storm

Dark Energy
so what do ya say guys? The wet 00z run of the Euro a couple nights ago looks pretty solid right now. Last nights run was a blip. The convection just screwed with everything yesterday.
dbc
This is just fabulous and is why we go through the agonies of following this stuff run by run. I was frustrated early on in the process as I felt like I was wasting time worrying about if this would be rain back on Friday when it looked that way (ALEX can attest to it-banter thread) and was questioning why I put myself through it but this, this right now is why you do it, it is why you watch it from the minute it becomes a threat to the area in some way shape or form. It is worth the agony when things look unfavorable. What a remarkable winter and I am glad I am sharing it with folks I've conversed with since they were on the WWBB in Feb 2001. There are some here still from then. I love snow and love watching things like this happen. Enjoy this everyone. Video record it document the day because you never know when you will see conditions like this again. Snow song-my trademark for 10 years of message boards: [based on the title song from Supertramp's first album Crime of the Century (1974)] Now winter's planning, the storm of the century. Well when, will it be? Read all about the snow and strong gusty winds. Yes, It's well worth a fee So bundle up and see...(loud but brief guitar intrusion) How it pounds the universe How it's gone from bad to worse Who are these mets. of lust, greed and glory Steal their models and let's see But that forecast's not right, oh no what's the story? Well there's a temp. of 43... (Shut up, that can't be right)

Absolutely crushing here, three major storms in the first two months of winter, WOW! Snow depth will be over 20" here when all is said and done. 3.3"/hr. Snow depth is incredible. Heaven. Jefflaw77
This storm is SO over-performing.. Then again, many of the mets on here knew that with this type of set up- the models weren't picking up on the amount of qpf.. Many are going to end up with 14-18+" when you add up both events.. Many seem to have 8-12" already..
