thats a good timeframe you got there between 3 and 5 for sure. I think you could easily tack on 4-6 between now and then though...

6" would be GREAT.....8-10" more would be EPIC...

Right now for the season i am at 41"....just epic. That would be a GREAT WINTER...its ONLY January 27th!!!!

NYC goes heavy for the next 2, mod for 1, light for one, out of there by 4:30 a.m.

You go heavy for 2.5 hrs (you are getting shellacked right now), ... ", ", out of there by 5.

Got a measurement?

at 1215 I measured 6" NEW snow...So about 2" an hr for 3 hours....that includes the sleet that fell for 1hr or so.

I have a feeling a lot of people will stay home tomorrow and I have a feeling Bloomberg will close the schools.

If there is indeed 2-4 hours left of snow for NYC and 4-6 more inches pile up, yeah, they'll close.

Thunder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't post while I was on shift, but the amount of convection associated with this low was underdone and underforecast, and I'm guilty of it too. I got CG lightning in valley stream, and it was consistent TSNO in Queens. Watching this thing blossom on the radar was a real treat...also nice to see the frontogenesis get itself going as well.

I hope someone has saved the WxTap enhanced WV, because that belongs in a textbook. All three conveyor belts were easy to see.

Monmouth Cty looks to be getting destroyed by another storm :snowman:

This absolutely unreal, snow is already halfway upthe wheel base of my truck and above the base of the doors, that's insane, it's like 10- 12" in 3.5 hrs. Ridiculous and awesome. Imagine if we had just some blocking? Talking coastal BECS .

It is snowing as hard right now as it has all winter and probably harder than it has since 2002-03. Cant see anything outside! EWR might have their second 20 incher of the season lol.
