I've been heading about how "this storm didn't happen" and "where is the snow" as I walk around campus today. I'd love to know where people are getting their information from.

Get used to it. Never fails to amaze me how people hear what they want to hear when it comes to weather. I think they hear little voices whispering forecasts to them.

This is the one aspect of Emergency Management/Public Safety that is truly despise. No matter what happens, you are wrong. :(

That's the number one thing about the weather for me! Communicating it to the public... I feel it is AT LEAST AS MUCH IF NOT MORE important that you can effectively communicate your forecast as that your forecast is accurate. Glad you're doing what you're doing Eskimo Joe!

With that being said.... I have no idea what to expect the next 24 hours in York

its normal. People do not pay attention. Then when and if **** hits the fan, they search for someone to blame...

Years ago ( can't remember the year) Cumberland County went under a tornado watch and activated the early warning system and every Firehouse in the county's House siren blew contineously, which is different then for a normal fire call. Even though we thought we had done a good job educating our residents, we had people call the station and ask us to quit playing around!?!?!
