Storm Clouds
Tuesday would see 2hr delay, just to get the day in. Wednesday is a whole different story. I'd still do homework in case things change. Is there going to be a lull in the between the overrunning and the main storm tomorrow?
NortheastPAWx
Doubtful, even for you. Take a look at the 850/700mb temps. This is the snow growth region of the storm and it is not too favorable for good accumulating dendrites. I hope things change...sleet is about as good as rain. Eskimo Joe
They athletic office just ask me what i was reading on here! they'd rather hear your opinion then the locals.. You don't think they'll cancel if its freezing rain tomorrow? You have to realize this is not going to be freezing rain from the start. 1-3" of snow by noon tomorrow is not that bad, especially if a 2hr delay is given. Wednesday morning is going to be bad, so I can definitely see a day off there. I'm not sure I'd want my kid standing outside waiting for the bus if trees and power lines could come down on him. Eskimo Joe
Is there going to be a lull in the between the overrunning and the main storm tomorrow? A lightening of the precip, yes, however I believe we will always be precipitating. This is a moisture laden storm!

That is what this event is starting to remind me of. SNowstorm in the northern tier, snow/sleet fest in north central PA, and an icestorm in southern PA. JSTWX
This is a really nasty setup for ice. Look at the flow from the northeast. That's all snow-covered land to our north and northeast, and there's no se component over PA at all. Temps won't go above 32 until everything is winding down, and that's only south of Route 22 / I-78 for a short time. Gusty winds back my way Wednesday night could really be troublesome if we don't get the ice off of the power lines and trees. This is probably one of the worst icing setups I've seen for us in quite a while. The snowpack is fairly deep from here northward.
EasternUSWX
You're going to have to bring that 0.1 - 0.25" ZR into Doylestown and West Chester. Probably if it trends a bit colder.
