ChrisM
Where are you? You should be ok. Storm is pissing along so the cooling shouldn't take long. Is it pouring snow yet? Im in Willington CT right now just south of Kev

Ginx snewx
midnight to about 3 am is when we get slammed I think. But even in the next 90 minutes it will probably start to ramp fairly quickly. That inflow radar on Dix looks like 1/
ORH_wxman
The EEN ASOS is steadfast at 3sm vis...bullsht? They are much lower than you at like 490 feet. Might be more susceptible to downslope in weak forcing like right now.

dendrite
The EEN ASOS is steadfast at 3sm vis...bullsht? EEN is an AWOS. Sometimes they seem to report vis a little higher than ASOSes do. But it can still pile up decently with higher visibilities if the snow growth is impressive.
HIPPYVALLEY
Right now literally a mix of small, medium and large flakes. Some of the oddest snow growth I've seen in a while.

OKpowdah
I'm starting to think 5-9 here is no good. We'll see though...9" might be ok, but I think 5 as the lower bound is probably too low. Maybe more like 7-12 or something. Fast movers make me nervous but it should absolute go to town for a few hours. Yeah this looks like one heck of a 6 hour snow bomb for you. I think mentioned it earlier -- as the convective elements nearing LI interact with the ML frontogenesis, it'll really go to town for a few hours. 2-3in/hr thundersnow for sure. It's speed through the region will prevent widespread 12+, but I could see lollis of 12-15"

MaineJayhawk
http://www.erh.noaa....Snow/NoSnow.png That graphic is used only when there is some sort of advisory. I'd think they could update their grids to a couple inches for you and I, maybe even a third for PWM. Of course, I'm a weenie and they're pros. We'll see how it shakes out. Radar looks better than I was expecting, though.
