jm1220
Almost like a very eerie calm before all hell breaks loose. There's definitely some ice accretion on the trees here, which makes me concerned that we could see widespread power outages later tonight when the pasty snow returns and sticks even more to trees and power lines. Just a light freezing mist/drizzle now.

Drz1111
We couldn't be more perfectly situated in NYC. You can start to see where the big band will set up and it looks like we're right in line. heck, I even like the ice we're getting now- when was the last time we had a sleet tstorm, and this is a necessary evil to get the big snows. Amazing how many times this winter NYC and environs have been exactly in the right spot. Its uncanny.

Wannabehippie
Some idiots on my block decided to go out for a drive in this weather, thus freeing up their spots on the left hand side of the street for my car. Yes I went out in this weather, quickly cleaned my car off, moved it over to the vacant spot. Thus protecting my car from being plowed in. It is getting pretty cold outside, and seems to be snowing. snow has finally made it up here. Does not appear to be mixing with sleet
