Stormlover74
Most places in PA/Philly burbs seem to be transitioning to snow. Its funny the snow/sleet line is basically moving north/north east like the radar but in reverse youre hoping that it only lasts for the light precip

Sock Puppet
Safe trip man. Send my best to the holy land That's where I'm flying to now! Flight supposed to take off from JFK at 6:55 and so far it hasn't been delayed at all. I guess I'll be jetting out of here right before the thing explodes over the area. RutgersWx92
Freezing rain is changing over to sleet here in New Brunswick. Everything is coated with a layer of ice. I just saw a flash of lightning.
Kaner587
rotation what would that impose? tornado...but its weak and is likely not translating all the way down
A-L-E-X
i hope this PL/ZR doesnt last long Me too. If we get into that very heavy wet snow going down in DC, its going to be the heaviest snow we've ever seen-- in a literal sense! The ratios down there are 4:1-- that's only TWICE the ratio of sleet to liquid!
tmagan
rotation what would that impose? There definitely is rotation, but you wont see a waterspout or tornado because the low levels are just too stable.
Sock Puppet
Sleet and I think some freezing rain mixed in. Dammit I want the changeover already

Dosh
we'll have to suffer until this really goes to town around 2-3z Sadly were at the point where it was supposed to start changing over for northern and central NJ, and the mid levels are still warming. I'd say maybe only 3-4 hours of solid snowfall from 10-2am tonight, and sleet til around 8:30-9. Its amazing how deep through the column the warm air has pervaded. Its +1C at 750mb right now
