If you have Weathertap, you can actually see the transition line between SN and PL. It appears that the transition line is now in a line from Trenton, NJ to Dover, DE.====I am not talking about the Winter mosaic either. You can subtly tell as the areas of higher reflectivity drop by several decibles.

Also, for a quick wx hx factoid----It's nights like tonight why NOAA changed the abbreviation of sleet from PE to PL (older obs would read as RA PE)

sounds about right with the good stuff, maybe 3. That gives a good 6 or so hours of nice heavy banding snows. 1/2 inch an hour and thats 6 - 10 locally better.

Most mets including Craig Allen say snow will end around or just after 4am in the city.

Steve D just said around 5 am & 3am in the Philadelphia area.
The radar over Philly back towards NE NJ is absolutely awesome right now. Once the 850 low gets going things are going to get nuts.
