NJHurricane
wow this band means serious business. band of possibly over 3" per hour straddling the Delaware (extending more to the west side than east) river from NE Philly extending down towards Wilmington per radar Vis under 1/8 mile here again...I don't think we have been above 1/4 mile...had anything but heavy snow...for close to two and a half hours now here in Woodbury NJ, just SSE of PHL
RU848789
Heaviest snow of the storm - almost as heavy as the 12/26 blizzard - simply pouring snow out there at about 2" per hour rates. Could easily pick up 8" or more tonight at this rate on top of our 5.5" form part 1 and the 2" or so that have fallen since then. Awe inspiring out there - about to go for a shovel at halftime of the RU-Cincy hoops game (we're actually up 4 near the end of the first half on the road - Mike Rice will be the saviour of RU hoops).

Wow, just shoveled with my 16 year old son - took us 20 minutes and after that time about 0.75" had accumulated where we started, which would be about 2.2" per hour. We're up to 3" of new snow/sleet on top of the 5.5" we had from part 1. Just pouring snow right now; less than 1/4 mile visibility. Wow - and radar looks amazing with more to come. Echo
Is that super heavy snow (yellows) that is just appearing in Philadelphia, Southern Delco and Northern Delaware? Sleet signature? Heavy Snow in Delaware, been going on since sometime around 9.

It has to be killing you looking at the radar wondering why it coudn't have happened at Ewing last winter when you flew out.

bluehens
Nasty band just idling right over my house in northern DE riding I-95 up through Philly......been sitting there for a while now. There is a weird circulaton over the DE bay now that just keeps feeding moisture into it. I'm thinking this area is where the big dog deform band will linger for the next couple of hours at least. Unbelievable snow rates and the wind is howling.

Thunder Road
It looks like Mt. Holly's snow map has just busted. We're already over 10" storm total here, with at least 2-4" more to come, maybe more if the deform band holds over us. It's been a long time since a storm has over-performed IMBY. Probably not since January 2006.
