Ginx snewx
Man I'd love to be at Foxwoods tonight, should be rockin' in that area later. Absolutely picturesque winter landscape beyond the casino! As much as I'd like to project the northeast motion of the radars up into SNH, the bowling ball cruising eastward with a kicker behind to keep it going says this is going to be great south of the pike. Oh you mean behind the place I work and Foxwoods,, the Great Cedar Swamp looked unreal today from 200 feet up with ice fog glistening and a white landscape. You are right it is beautiful Clean up round 1 done, LOL on the panic.
SC48
GAH. BOX just updated their snow total map. Increased totals and shifted heaviest amounts 40-50 miles SE towards Buzzards Bay. Based on that it's strickly NAM and doesn't even have the latest GFS in there. Even Harvey's map is further north with the 8-12+ than that map. Clinch Leatherwood
Can't wait to meet you Saturday at the GTG if the snowstorm isn't too bad. Glad the ski trip was cancelled!! Should be fun Does Vim Toot right in the front seat or back seat? If it's not going to snow Saturday I'll be in Vermont. Will be in CT the following weekend, thinking me you, Ryan, Ginx and Vin can get together for a drink
ORH_wxman
Congrats Pete on 22z ruc. Jesus that thing is wrapped up. I would have to forecast a 15"-8 hour snow bomb if that is what would happen, lol.

NEK_VT_Upslope_Event
It's really hard for me to extrapolate the real heavy stuff currently over the Delmarva up into SNE, unless it makes a sharp left turn!

cpickett79
The RUC has backed down considerably on temps. 4 hours ago it would have had the 2c line pushing up over/near us...it's now init'ing below 0c. There's absolutely no doubt it my mind the M/L rolled east more than ENE or NE for a few hours. I think we're seeing some of that play out on the RUC as it's tugging the precip shield steadily southeast with the m/l. I do wonder a little about the 18z runs now beyond the RGEM. For those not familiar...this is the 18z runs forecast for 22z, versus the init of the 22z. Note PA/NY/WV RED FLAG now i know everyone gets upset when this is pointed out . human nature. but another red flag was box shifting totals SE....they saw something that led them to do this. It's now cast. and ML center movement is key. Coastalwx do you verify what messenger said about the ML's ....answer it imagining you won't have to answer 30 other questions if you agree. lol i mean the ML's closing off and the track is the key for us right. sankaty
Can kind of see how a deformation band might orient based on latest radar. Have a hunch that NC CT into the S Berks might not do too badly. Could be totally wrong.
Kbosch
It's really hard for me to extrapolate the real heavy stuff currently over the Delmarva up into SNE, unless it makes a sharp left turn! Huh? It's going to slam nearly all of us.
wxsniss
"Bleeding snow" "Heavy sheets moving sideways" "Thunder and lightning" "Crash... tree branch just came down" Quotes from DC area thread!!! Philly area forecasters going for 10-15. What a wild storm... a Nowcast storm if there ever was one, as GFS / NAM seem to be flopping all over the place. Perhaps due to the intense convective activity in the MD/VA/DE area? I have a feeling we have an exciting night in store
