NB-Weather
Hmm, transitioned over to sleet about 20 minutes ago. Now we are getting light (freezing) rain, almost drizzle.
CoastalWx
It's almost as if the wx tested me and when I finally dealt with adversity like an adult for once, I was awarded.....at least it looks like I was, but as you said....verification. Well like I was saying this morning, the banding was good based on the mid level lows for ern mass. QPF said one thing, but we've seen it time and time again where people like mpm get all upset at the GFS giving them 0.3" qpf and then he gets 10". Lets not count the chickens before they hatch, but so far..I feel pretty good for eastern mas, even ctrl areas.

powderfreak
We need one more shift NW at 00z. I'll take 3 or 4 shifts NW, thanks. Bring that freezing line up to ALB-LEB and maybe we'll get in the game, lol.
ORH_wxman
Wow, I just saw the 18z GFS...amazing. The RUC might have scored a coup, but we'll know for sure in a few hours.

CoastalWx
What about this strong coastal front that I'm on the wrong side of? It's weak and will shift back south late this evening,..maybe near midnight or so. It prob goes to Jerry and that's about it.
MarkO
Pretty clear axes of dilatation in the deformation field on the 18z NAM and GFS valid 6z tonight. Maybe some deform love setting up somewhere from N CT-C MA-SE NH at that time? NAM GFS Yup, I think it's a bit east of depicted. Maybe over Ray. BOS is 020 so presuming it is west of the CF. Home wxbug 26.7 but I think that tends to read perhaps 1F low?

nutmegfriar
Just took between 3" and 4" off the driveway. While doing it, had some freezing drizzle and then ripped sleet for ten minutes.

JYarsh
I'm actually suddenly looking better in Amherst,MA. I'm hoping that we get that deformation band that the NAM seemed to be pointing to at 18z.
jhj
little sleet with flakes mixed.....should go to snow when it picks up....looking for my 2nd round of thunder snow this winter.......
wxsniss
Then again....if this happens as new NAM/GFS depict...perhaps Euro gets some cred back? Ehh... somehow managing to get the right QPF with a fundamentally incorrect synoptic scenario is not a correct solution, I'd say... I say NAM scored an unambiguous coup here depicting the broken 2 systems and the punch of heavy qpf down in the DC-Philly area. Meanwhile, 18Z GFS and RUC continue to spit out wildly varying and intriguing solutions for tonight...
