Damage In Tolland
WCVB Futurecast had ORH getting 12.4" and KFIT getting 11.6" WTF There's gonna be some sick snowbands tonight over the interior as the CCB cranks and sits overhead..and depending on where the pivot happens determines who gets over a foot
Clinch Leatherwood
Definitely appears for the time being the m/l is going straight east along the NC border. http://www.rap.ucar.edu/weather/satellite/displaySat.php?region=ALB&itype=wv&size=large&endDate=20110126&endTime=-1&duration=
EastBayWx
3.0 " new 30.5 F NNE Wind at 6mph. Coastal front (if even palpable) runs Plymouth to New Bedford on SE but suspect it drags out to sea next few hours. Have had silver dollar- size flakes here throughout the day. Clinch Leatherwood
FWIW RGEM didn't budge really, maybe a smidge NW but the .5mm line is still in NW MA and it's about 10mm to orh down to hartford ESE.. for this panel, another 10+ mm falls in SE areas after 1am. Most of it is over for most by 1am per the RGEM, aside of eastern areas.

Clinch Leatherwood
wow radar over CT looks like crap Looks like it's filling in if you squint really, really hard and hold your breath. Going to be a bit of a wait now beyond the patchwork snows. Last frame of the w/v m/l resumed a more ENE course.
bboughton
On other sites I'm hearing talk of phasing and 6"/hour snow -- that this thing is just going to explode and barrel North. Thoughts? powderfreak
RUC forecast for 4z from 2 hours ago and current. Note that 2 hours ago it had a pretty good band of snow over Albany, that and the entire thing to the NW slipped SE. It's definitely come some right ideas, but it's been running a bit too far NW each cycle and slowly corrects. Wow is that awful. No way in hell does the radar look even close to that. Instead of Albany to Montpelier, that band will be Hartford to Worcester. God that is an awful model.

weatherwiz
Not sure if it's with the squall line out over the Atlantic but the number of CG lightning strikes has been increasing over the past hour-plus...maybe it's a combo of the squall line and the thundersnow over VA. That is fine with me for now...I'm taking the time to clear the round 1/bonus round snow out for the big show later. I think anything substantial falling now might actually start to be a mix anyways with the WAA. Personally I have had 100% SN all day which is quite a surprise - one of the many.
