TalcottWx
Guys, this is going to overperform from what we thought was likely earlier this morning. Radar is filling in and looking real pretty upstream.

Boston-winter08
18z NAM now has a 996 just southeast of ACY as opposed to a 1000mb 150 miles offshore
ORH_wxman
NAM looks a hell of a lot better with the upper low through 9 hours than before
leesun
I can't remember ever going into an event being clueless. Sure, I've been wrong many times, but I seemingly had a clue (although maybe flawed). This one, I have no clue. Even nowcasting is not working. Looking at WV loops and radar trends a few hour ago, I thought I'd be lucky to get 2". Now, looking at that same data, I wouldnt be surprised if I got a foot. No clue! MarkO
NAM more robust with the dev't of the low off ACY and much juicier. But isn't it usually jucier in the 18z?

mattmfm
If I lived anywhere SE of BOS-TOL, went to bed last night after looking at the models, and today looked at the radar...I'd think I was looking at a different storm all-together. Yes, there will be a rather dramatic cutoff, probably somewhere around ORH-FIT, but whoever is SE of the cutoff is going to get shellacked. The convection down in VA is ridiculously impressive. butterfish55
Maybe I can grab a 12 incher? gross. SInce we talk about "nowcasting", looking at that weathtap rader of the whole system, it really looks good for SNE. Hard to see how many of us don't overpeform in this. Noyes FTW?
