Semper911
Remember when we were sweating the r/s line? That is exactly what I was just thinking as I logged on at work. Snowing in Franklin, MA, has been since about 11:25am. And while I am here, I have to say that Matt Noyes was amazing last night. His LiveStream thing lasted late into the night, and watching him was a blast. And he turned out to be right about the earlier onset.

dabize
I am doomed to wander the snowless, barren landscape of N ORH county Just watch out for 6 ft deep piles of strange white powdery stuff - I hear that that landscape is lousy with those for some reason......... Arnold214
No mix in that? Wow... They are on the north shore...for all i know it could be another precip type just 5 miles to their south which has been known to happen. However current ISP ob is still SN
40/70 Benchmark
Guys ARW and NMM. I hate to say it think this time of mega cutoff is most realstic...whether it's where it's modeled here, SE 30 miles or NW 30 I don't know. I do not like this other meso low/convective low forming on the main band that develops later today. If it's a real feature and any more intense it's going to do a number on precip totals, JMHO. If it's a phantom then we can shift this line NW. If that is how this is going to play out, I hope the meso low steals everything.

MJHUB
Nice snow burst in the PVD area. Comming down pretty good clip in W. Cranston too, cars got a dusting, any road with snow from yesterday still on is fully covered.

free_man
will someone please start a new thread (ETAN?) for the upcoming days and weeks ahead? Looks brutally cold and dry, I'm afraid we will end up slightly below avg snowfall here for the winter months.

weatherwiz
This is going to be interesting in where that cutoff occurs, I'm virtually on the line of where many of the models have it and I could certainly see me being on the wrong side of it eastern CT into N. RI and E MA will end up doing the best, although that's really not a major surprise.

Dave5
Prob around 6", there. A little bit of a let down considering the forecast as of yesterday early afternoon, but I'll take it! Mr Torchey
I would too if I were home. Beats shoveling 12" later. that and we simply have no place to put it nearing 2 feet of snowpack, live in a federally mandated flood payment zone. had to clear snowbanks from the storm drain, only 7 ft above sea level. Cringing at the thought of a torch or rain. sw ct basements are going to have a very tough spring. light snow

You are right about the basements. Light snow keeps on adding to the total very slowly ahead of that band. We may be at 6 after round one.
