AKQ called for flurries here tonight, and I've got 2.5" of snow. That is a huge bust, but to their credit, the models were only calling for .05" liquid equivalent, but that's still .5" snow. Here's my forecast:

Overnight: Occasional flurries, mainly before 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Light north wind.

All thing considered, we've done fairly well this year. Everyone will complain that we didn't get the "big one." I think 10.7 inches is respectable for a La Nina year. Back-to-back white Christmases. Sustained cold. Yep, no complaints here.

Was a little above what I expected this year.. (4 to 10 inches..) Was definitely colder than I would of thought... but if blocking does not return its going to end very ugly.

So far around a B+... for the year. Areas to our north (northern Va into Maryland.. probably a good bit lower.. D-?? :x

Not saying you don't have that much, but i'm in the process of calling spotters around the county and we can't find any reports higher than 1"! Are you near/west of 15?

Hard to believe we lived up to our name like that last night. :arrowhead:

I'm hoping for some March snow. Can't throw in the towl just yet.

yea march has not really produced around here much. i still have hope for a late fluke, but this pattern we are in just does not want to produce much precip west of I95. march 2009 spoiled us though that was an incredible first week. i remember midday temps on the 3rd were running in the mid 20's impressive indeed. the 82 a few days after made for one heck of a swing.
