Anyone else notice how convective in nature that band moving through south central NJ has become? I think its starting to "suck" some of the moisture away from the area of precip to its north. Here in Ramsey we went from near whiteout conditions an hour ago to very light snow and now back to moderate snow. I just spent the past half hour telling all my coworkers how terrible the models have been and that we will likely be "in the snow" for several hours before a slight lul around mid-afternoon. I hope that the radar fills in a tad better to my SW or I'll look a tad foolish if it stops in the next hour. BTW, for those thinking this might rob the second storm tonight, it still looks very impressive on radar in my opinion, to be honest much better definied than it was modeled to be at this hour.

It's also sleeting in PHL and Toms River according to the other thread and raining mid 30s ACY/Milleville

This is def going to be a nice storm once all's said and done. I already have over 3" and Mt. Holly increased our storm totals to 8-12" from 4-8" earlier. Looks like we'll see another batch of heavy snow (unless it's sleet) and then enter a lull for a few hours.

I'm still amazed we're having another snowstorm, I was convinced a few days ago that we would see 50s and rain, just amazing, this winter is amazing.

My concern for people who are out and about, is from this somewhat surprising nature of the early-morning thump we just had.

My question really is about the lull in intensity that is expected through the midday hours from this. Has this aspect of the storm been skewed as well or are we (here out in west-central Long Island) still going to get that lull?

Looks like a general 9-12 based on that.

I do notice the mix line inching northward, but that might be a function of precip intensity-- its in southern Monmouth right now.

The temp here has actually dropped over a degree in the last couple hours...now at 28.4 degrees with a wind from the northeast.
