A-L-E-X
maybe my initial ideas werent so wrong after all. this will almost definitely be our second biggest of the year and for areas that didnt receive 30" on dec 26 (i only got 18 or so) this MIGHT come come close. for me 14-16" will be close...not for earthlight (obviously) i was always thinking/hoping for 8-12" for the second phase of the system, now that we are a lock to get 3-5" of so from the front end (which was non existent 6 hours ago)....im liking where we stand....just hope we dont get effed on the second part ( i always have to throw in a bit of negativity) Ace, I thought you said you got 22" in that? I know JM got 20-21"
Ericjcrash
1" accum so far. i am surprised that there has not been a change-over yet. Temperature right at 32° It can snow above 32 very easily. 45DBz echoes over PHL now WOW!

SnowGoose69
anyone else worried that this northern shift of the first cell will ruin our secondary cell?? Yes, I am to an extent, but I do like how the RGEM picked up on this round yet still had the event tonight being as strong...I wanted to see if a model picked up on the current setup and still had the overnight event. Wxoutlooksblog
Don't worry, the Snow/Sleet-rain line is way down in delaware/south jersey, and hasnt really budged over the last hour I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't budge much. Snowgoose was on the money when he emphasized the speed this thing is moving at. Dynamic and evaporational cooling should overcome any other factors with CCB snows setting up right over and just s and e of NYC. I think amounts are going to well exceed expectations and for most this should be ALL snow with many locations reporting 15"+ by the time all is said and done. gkrangers
12z GFS rolling. Drops .25" PHL-TTN-JFK from 7AM-1PM today. That seems pretty accurate based on what is happening right now.
