From everything ive been reading (and trying to catch up on from last nights discussions), was this light to mod snow fall (happening in Holbrook for me currently) supposed to occur this early?

What is the potential for a continuous snow fall to occur with both systems joining?

and

Is the whole thing tracking faster than expected which will lead to the storm ending much earlier tomorrow?

I still wrapping my head around the lingo and such, but you guys are amazing. hooked on this board.

That snow is really filling in now over northern NJ and in the last few frames you can see the rain snow line pushing far off shore from the NYC/LI area. It seems like everything that can go right for a snow storm this year has. Of course the rain snow line is pushing up from the south but its slow and would be several hours away. Correct me if I'm wrong but none of the major globals had this area affecting us this early? It was only the high res late last night that began to pick up on it? I would think snowfall totals should be increased.

Five days ago at one point I think it was the GFS had us going from 24-36Hrs. Not recently.

My question (concern) is since the models didnt really see all this precip this early do you think we end seeing a larger percentage of the Qpf fall during the day rather than a 6 to 8 hour period this evening and therefore end up losing more to melting?

Will be surprised if we ever get any "lull" at this point. Looks like (from the radar) continuous until the end!
