HoarfrostHubb
The thing is that the BOX nws office is chock full of great scientists. They may night post here often (besides turtle and JoeD) but I would challenge anyone to to find a better forecast office when it comes to forecasting winter weather. The goal is to get the forecast right, not rile up the weenies with "interesting" afd's. lol. Walt was unique as they come. No question about the quality of their work, just kinda, boring. They do a great job IMHO. You guys were sorta like having a brain surgeon who can crack a few jokes while probing a patient's medulla oblongata, or whatever Much OES coming in before the bigger show? Arnold214
The City of Attleboro will welcome you only with an A+ forecast discussion pass. I can write the AFD, but what I CAN'T do is derive the omega equation on the white board in the old met lab at 1 am on a fri night while half in the bag. OKpowdah
Ruc would say yes RUC always says yes Seriously though, yeah, and for some of the reasons you and I have mentioend with the activity in the Gulf and the northern stream, I think we'll see this one be more amped up and a little slower too, and give eastern MA a whooping. Glad to hear you put it out there as an insider, I'm constantly amazed by some of the negative comments about BOX or any other NWS forecast office for that matter. Have always had a high degree on confidence in a NWS forecast. Except maybe this one as BOX is only calling for 4-8" here and that will obviously bust low.lol
HoarfrostHubb
Can a brotha get another 25 miles? Next run... promise Better check your snowblower... might be broken again. Of course that would mean you get pounded

OKpowdah
SREFs bring the low mean of 988 roughly over the bowel movement. No one flush please.... You're in the top 10 for quotes from this storm, but Ray's one about the seal farting affecting the NAM is still getting the gold.
