No computer model has showed precip falling in SNE before 18z except the RUC. The RUC has been extremely consistent through last night showing snow/sleet getting into southern ct and racing northward by mid morning.. current radar trends suggesting this is true.. you can see NAM sim radar shunts this moisutre ENE, however radar suggest its moving rapidly NE and already in central jersey.. RUC shows storm really intensifying this evening about 50-75 miles west of GFS maybe 40-60 miles SE of montauk.. during this time.. first wave of moisture lasts throughout the area until the upper level support and good stuff get here. . we'll see what happens..

Saturday clipper looks great for SNE and there's a torch rainstorm next week

Only the EC has the SWFE/torch. And the clipper is getting washed out as it hits the coast by all models now, but like I said, I still leave out hope for that being more than 1-2" given the vm plowing through. I think the first weak system (Fri) is putting a b**ch of a wrench in the stronger one for the weekend.

I'll tell you what..these forecasts of snow starting later in the afternoon are in trouble..Radar says it's snowing to the pike by noon or soomer

Yeah--I'm still considering cancelling my meeting in NYC (1:30). Figure it might be snowing there before then and then I'll have it with me on the drive home utnil I hit the Mass border where there will be heavy cirrus conditions.

j/k. I think this will be a nice moderate event for folks east and south of a line that runs from BOS/ along the pike to 84/whiteplains. Just minor (never use the word "nuisance" when it comes to snow like they do on the news sometimes) even NW of that. A few inches above that line with the heaviest closest to that line trailing down to 2-3" to the NW (NetherWorld) corner of mass.

Don't let radar fool you. It just barely started snowing at ACY and it's 7SM flurries. Nothing at TTN yet.

radar goes exactly as obs are showing from phl thread.. im looking at mount holly radar only.. obv anything showing up on any other radar is not falling.. thats why im calling for 9-12 start time.. since the steady snow is in central jersey
