Damage In Tolland
Not terribly concerned about the slight SE trend overnight. Sometimes that happens and then the next runs bring it back again as 6z has done. I will lower from 12-20 down to 10-16 to be safe. Radar looks great down south and west
Cannae
I'd sure take this.
Sey-Mour Snow
No computer model has showed precip falling in SNE before 18z except the RUC. The RUC has been extremely consistent through last night showing snow/sleet getting into southern ct and racing northward by mid morning.. current radar trends suggesting this is true.. you can see NAM sim radar shunts this moisutre ENE, however radar suggest its moving rapidly NE and already in central jersey.. RUC shows storm really intensifying this evening about 50-75 miles west of GFS maybe 40-60 miles SE of montauk.. during this time.. first wave of moisture lasts throughout the area until the upper level support and good stuff get here. . we'll see what happens.. moneypitmike
I think this map may reflect the impact of the retreating high--16.1 here at the Pit. What a temp difference as you head northeast. Hopefully, this will be nowcast city and we'll outperform region-wide (which for my back yard would be to exceed 3". lol)
dendrite
Wow. What a debacle for the EC and its ensembles the past 36hrs. The doc looks more like premed lately. The clipper is looking like garbage now too although I still leave out some minor hope for that. Oh well...LR looks cold.
Sey-Mour Snow
upton agrees with me.. finally upgraded to warnings.. says precip will start between 9-12.. going 6-8 some 9" spots but admit it is a conservative forecast and there is bust potential on the high side

bboughton
What are your thoughts for Boston? dendrite
Saturday clipper looks great for SNE and there's a torch rainstorm next week Only the EC has the SWFE/torch. And the clipper is getting washed out as it hits the coast by all models now, but like I said, I still leave out hope for that being more than 1-2" given the vm plowing through. I think the first weak system (Fri) is putting a b**ch of a wrench in the stronger one for the weekend.

Sey-Mour Snow
What are your thoughts for Boston? Taunton's saying about 9 I think a general 6-12" is a fine forecast.. mostly between 6-10" like taunton and upton are forecasting.. with some spots up to 12"
bboughton
Matt Noyes from NECN said that last night, and then was thoroughly trashed on here... moneypitmike
I'll tell you what..these forecasts of snow starting later in the afternoon are in trouble..Radar says it's snowing to the pike by noon or soomer Yeah--I'm still considering cancelling my meeting in NYC (1:30). Figure it might be snowing there before then and then I'll have it with me on the drive home utnil I hit the Mass border where there will be heavy cirrus conditions. j/k. I think this will be a nice moderate event for folks east and south of a line that runs from BOS/ along the pike to 84/whiteplains. Just minor (never use the word "nuisance" when it comes to snow like they do on the news sometimes) even NW of that. A few inches above that line with the heaviest closest to that line trailing down to 2-3" to the NW (NetherWorld) corner of mass.

Yeah, I did see your post and that is exactly why I made mine. haha All kidding aside, it isn't what I was expecting. 1-3" maybe and it'll mostly fall overnight as I'm drooling into my pillow. ski MRG
-1/-4, Hoping to overperform on the predicted 4" overnight snowfall. Even 4" puts me beyond 60" for the month so no complaints here. Tomorrow looks like a great day to be at MRG. More snow beyond, life is great, Winter is sweet, get out and enjoy it.

nutmegfriar
Upton calling for 6"-11" for me. No rain in their forecast for this storm. I might, repeat might, be able to pull out over a foot of new snow (combined) over the last two days. Not bad for down here. Not bad.
