Dave5
How much snow is being forcasted for Boston/North Shore? Ive been seeing anywhere from 10-15+ to 3-6 and from 6-10. Im really not quite sure what to think
40/70 Benchmark
Just watching TMZ while cleaning up. They're talking about the veracity of wikipedia. I guess someone used it as a source reference....but they point out that for awhile last week someone changed it to say Abe Lincoln was killed by Heman...I guess some time passed before it was caught. That's funny. I've often wondered why incidents like that aren't more common with that.

Clinch Leatherwood
Lol... Exactly the kind of post one would expect the night before one of the most (over)hyped snowstorms this season... We'll see. I look at the water vapor ...and RUC and wonder if it's going to be more right in bringing precip over us. Then again it's rain so BFD down here anyway! I always say I'm pretty impartial, I think tonight's a good example. It's not looking terrible, not looking great, but I still enjoy the leadup. Will need a break after this, we're all addicts with this stuff in our own way some are big measurers/climo, some like the tracking like me...but it can become too consuming. If the Euro shows a big hit, or not...whether i'm right or wrong I'll be here to take my lumps. I like Mike's thinking...personally I think the euro will be the most severe of the models so far, if it's not and it flops towards the others...ouch. BDR
The Hi Res models on NCEP are screwy for me, instead of showing the run time it shows "[an error occurred while processing this directive]".
OKpowdah
I still think the models are underplaying the northern stream role a bit. Could end up with a more neutral tilt, giving the trajectory coastal storm a greater northward component at 40N

40/70 Benchmark
I should have stuck with my first instinct last week....this would find a way to fail because I never see a 3' snowpack; climo would intervene and it has.

Logan11
It's been taken down a number of times this winter. I was certainly rooting for it this time, but I don't think it's so mighty anymore. The split system is a real bugger. The NAM is a goofy model, it gets to its solution in crazy abstract ways, but it had the right idea for 2 days and got CRUCIFIED by so many. Is Matt Noyes bashing the Euro now too?
OKpowdah
Really the Euro has done an excellent job the past several days of consistent runs. H5 scores should be good. Obviously there are significant differences in the impact in New England though.
