ravensrule
meh, like so many clippers, this one is getting drier as it approaches don't get me wrong, I'll take anything, its just that the Canadian and GFS were advertising snow storms for us while Euro had a dreaded cutter now that this season has proven it can snow for us, I'm hoping for some pattern repetition as is often the case Let us hope that is the case, at least now that you busted badly you can root for alot more snow . spf
Winding down in Great Falls - about 8 inches. Large limbs down in the neighborhood, some across roads. No power loss.

EastCoast NPZ
A bit over 7 inches here in Stephens City. It's not Baltimore-type snow, but a good one nonetheless.
WTHunter
Fire Trucks are now starting to get stuck everywhere. That's been going on for a while now... and tiller trucks are having trouble with snow-weighted low hanging limbs!!! Can't remember how many companies I have heard call in unable to respond due to vehicles/trees blocking routes. In addition, there was a report of a pregnant female on the side of I-83 between Northern and Ruxton that units were unable to get to ue to I-83 being a parking lot caused by a jack-knifed Tractor trailer... advised police officers on scene to transport patient. 5speed6
Steady moderate snow here still just south of Annapolis. Girlfriend has been stuck in non-moving traffic on the Woodrow Wilson bridge for close to three hours now. Ugly scene out there.
WTHunter
On top of the 4" from Round 1, I just took the yardstick out and took six measurements across my driveway which I cleared between storms and got 6 - 9" measurements on the nose for a total of 13" and I still have moderate snow coming down!!! WOW, could really go for a few more surprises like this before the season is over!!!
jnis
I just measured. After compaction it measured 12" in upper moco.

Brianonymous
Edgewater accum isnt very good.. I blame the water... But its looking like I only got about 1.5-2"... I think it compacted on itself... Either way, it was nice to watch it come down in buckets... Temps here never really went below 33.1..
Dalfy
Measurements are at 9, 10, and 11... Im assuming its been compacted as well.. so probably 11'' total? If we add that to what I got in the morning I would have around 13 inches. which is pretty awesome if you ask me.
yoda
Probably finished just under 9" here
kmtgolf1
Around 10" on the ground here in New Market, MD. Maybe an inch was left from this morning, so we'll call it 9" during the thump. Beautiful to watch.
SPsnowman
Severna Park maybe 5 inches total. Heavy snow but temps have risen lately from 32 to 33 and the snow is compacted and dense. who knows how much it could have been if the temps were in the upper 20's. Skywalker03
Snow ending in downtown Silver Spring. Looks like we got somewhere around 6 or 7 inches, but hard to tell with compaction, etc. Street was plowed a little while ago and some serious melting is going on... it's a river along the side of the road. Pictures soon!
marked8
Still 34 in Manassas. The heavy wet snow split one of my trees in the backyard in half. It also brought down my cable for internet and TV which is partly in the road, and made my 7 foot tall boundary bushes all of 2 feet.
Ajb
Walked around NE Dupont a bit, and I don't know what this stuff on the ground is, but it sure isn't snow any more. I tried some measurements getting anywhere from 2.5-4.5 inches depending on location, but all of it was ridiculously water dense and compact. Some of the sidewalks are solid blocks of incompressible slush.
Curlyq
WTF is going on. Reminds me of the that sceen in the movie Patton when George C gets out and starts directing traffic when the tanks are tied up in an intersection!!!!!!!
