Snowden
Snowing/Sleeting here in South Dulles/Eastern Loudoun, side street and driveway covered already. Are we going to get a lull? It looks like the precip is back building towards the ULL. Kind of confused on the WWA but whatever
mdsnowlover
These TV forecasters still don't have a clue, what a joke. either that or something has changed. My local on the radio regurgitated last nights forecast. Something going on???

baltimoreguy
On WBAL, Tony Pann just said about 1-1.5" this a.m., then switch over to steady rain as temps reach 37, then back to snow around evening rush hour for a total of 3-6 inches. Is it really going to rain all day in Baltimore? Guess it's possible

birdsofprey02
tony pan said snow to frz ranin to rain back to snow. Nothing changed from their forecast last night. Where did he say that? I just watched him say that some areas had snow, depending where you were. It would then rain for a bit and change back to snow around sundown. Never did he mention freezing rain (on the channel 11 broadcast a moment ago).

vastateofmind
Wow - 5 major school districts (Ffx, MoCo, PG, LoCo, HoCo) close for day. Probably a smart move...
smokeybandit
I totally called the WWA last night. I knew it when they were waiting so long. Guess we'll see what happens. The way this winter has gone, it's probably the correct move. I'll still be surprised if I actually have to shovel anything by the time this storm's over. BethesdaWX
How can NWS bust on 1-2" snow/sleet, 3hrs before it hits? Thing is, people & businesses are not prepared this morning... no warning at all, and unfortunately, we will probably loose innocent lives on the roads today...and thats just horrible. There is a model consensus DC sees between 4-8" of snow, and they do not issue a WSW. Trying to figure out what they're smoking...maybe political? Hey, what else could it be? Carmine Wax
32.9 in Kensington about .25 to .5 inch of snow on the ground, street covered...have also heard some sleet bouncing off the roof this morning, precip seems to have stopped for the time being... baro 2926 and presumably falling...accounting to BY sensor... Pen48guins
Had nothing falling about 20 minutes ago but decent wet sized snow flakes are following again. The neighbors have all seem shocked so far this morning getting out to their cars.

Have to agree with you, I'm skeptical based on trends this winter so far, however - I am currently watching/listening to an impressive slug of sneet coming down when I was supposed to be getting rain right now through midday...we'll see. snowfan
Alll southbound lanes of 95 at Rte 32 in MD are now closed due to a crash. You gotta love the hacks that call the weather in this area. LWX has already proven this year that they have no idea how to forecast. What a waste of our taxpayer dollars. The TV "mets" are even worse.
