esullivan
Heavy snow in Chevy Chase, DC. Starting to stick to the roads - rush hour should be interesting. Another observation - people were driving up Rock Creek parkway from Georgetown like a tsumani was coming up the Potomac!
dbarney
Here is an interesting observation. Go to Trafficland.com and look at the cameras on I-81 and I-66. Heavy snow and roads are covered. Look due XXX east at cameras on I-95. Huge difference. http://www.trafficla.../I81/index.html

Terpeast
Cantore was just talking about hearing reports of 4:1 ratios in some places. "White mud", as he put it. I've never heard of anything like that before. I haven't heard the term, but with temps at 33-34 it wouldn't surprise me if the snow started out at 4:1, but the ratios should jump once temps fall to freezing and below.
