Winds are HOWLING here.

Winds are from the NNW at 18mph with gusts to 25mph here in Clarksburg. Looks like we've picked up our first inch from Part 2 so far. Temp is 29.7F and slowly dropping.

Here's a quick vid:

feels a lot like feb 10 after going outside. 1.5 " new snow so just shy of an inch an hour... snow depth is 3" including the 1" of snow/sleet that fell earlier... snowboard was cleared at 1 PM and it only has 1.5" on it.... so.... what should i call that? I'm guessing it took a while to accumulate on the board because it didn't have that sleet layer, so how do I officially record that? 1.5" of new snow or 2"?

Ahhh...thundersnow. Combining my 2nd and 1st favorite weather features in one package...actually brings out a very peaceful feeling in me. First lightning/thunder heralded the transition by about 30 seconds...now snowing nice and hard, and thundering every few minutes. The wait and false starts this winter are now all worthwhile.

Ride On buses are getting stuck at New Hampshire and Piney Branch. Lots of police and fire vehicles getting stuck as it seems on the scanner.

Dang. My wife is still out there. Unfortunately she doesn't work where she can leave at will. She been stuck for an hour downtown.
