toller65
Still gives no reason to bash on the TV Mets,HPC or the NWS, There are peoples livelihood and credibility that are at stake here and to go balls to the wall on there 1st call leaves only to backpedaling when things change, Lot easier raising totals then having to reduce them and look like a fool......... All good points-I'm on board

free_man
SnowNH will be disappointed knowing the Euro only gives us like .4" qpf. Hopefully the clipper Saturday is a bit better.
Baroclinic Zone
Looks like the BM to me. 0c 850 doesn't get past FMH. Lock it up baby! Sweet!
Tropopause_Fold
Its not going to be as nuts with the qpf as 00z...which probably isn't a shock...but its going to give the entire region a big storm. ptype issues for far SE MA, S RI probably at 36-42h. so much better out here though relative to older runs. at least this run would imply a solid 6hr+ of snow after the flip. COPO
central/eastern MA, E CT and RI absolutely crushed between 42-48h. How about our western folks?
CT Rain
definitely not as big in western areas. Looks like it ticked east from 00z AWT

CoastalWx
Looks like 1" from right near or just south of PWM-near DAW-FIT-HFD points se.
Clinch Leatherwood
definitely not as big in western areas. Looks like it ticked east from 00z AWT At 48 hours its lost all continuity with the other models. It's actually wrapping dry air around and up into the area...totally different than the Goofus/UK/GGEM.

At least today, in 2011, many if not all of the TV mets can put their thinking in blogs, online chats, etc. Gotta give all of these guys credit.. they are well trained and are probably right 75% or whatever of the time... the general public (me included) is pretty clueless on this stuff. CoastalWx
Congrats! I think you'll get a good 6-10 perhaps on this run.
Tropopause_Fold
it's a pretty solid event for just about everyone. jackpot would likely be somewhere in the ORH to BOS to PVD triangle...maybe down to Bob?

Baroclinic Zone
it's a pretty solid event for just about everyone. jackpot would likely be somewhere in the ORH to BOS to PVD triangle...maybe down to Bob? weatherwiz
Looks like 1" liquid for HFD. 1.2 for TOL. The differences between the American and Foreign models is pretty crazy...probably just going to take something a bit more than the Americans and a bit less than the Foreign models.
Tropopause_Fold
How much down this way? ~1.25"? looks like somewhere around that...maybe a shade higher 1.3 to 1.4?
HIPPYVALLEY
Congrats! No reason to feel left out - I think we still get warning criteria snows based on what I'm reading. Waiting for the Met from Lenox or Sam to put in their 2 cents. No one can rule out a tick NW in the next 12hrs either.
Cold Miser
Is it just me or does this site seem to have a more kick-ass server than Eastern? Just my observation that during every storm thus far, I have never experienced a slow down, or clogged up web access, even during times of heavy map posting. Sorry for the off topic, but I just wanted to throw out props for the consistency with regard to server speed, access, etc.
Clinch Leatherwood
pretty big shift in qpf for areas N and W GC 0.5-0.75 Versus what last run? Looks like 1" liquid for HFD. 1.2 for TOL. nice storm...probably not done shifting east but it won't matter for most. Per the descriptions elsewhere it's gone towards the split system which hurts areas N and NW and also helps with temps down here. Now the ? is with the Euro sliding a little east, how legit is the meso debacle? Both the GFS and Euro nudged east some it would seem.
