kpantz
old adige that the chase is better than the catch, while nothing beats snow actually falling pre storm model mania & weenie radar hallucinations are nearly half the fun, nothing should be painful with regard to snow & NYC, you guys have had a tremendous run This. We always say you can't shovel QPF. but I hate shoveling anyway. 12Z FTW? We'll see shortly.
SnowGoose69
My hunch tells me the NAM is going to go insane...we'll see....it might just be the seasonal trend getting the best of me...

Tough to go against the euro and ensembles, but interesting even SREFs continue the se trend. Hopefully that has stopped.

Check out the first few frame with all the convenction in the gulf. Surface low jumps from LA to the middle of the gulf to the coast Florida. It reeks of convective feedback already. WintersGrasp
Well these 12z runs should be much more reliable considering they are so close to the event plus with the addition of all the new data ingested. I'm thinking it will be in-between the 00z and 6z runs actually. I think the storm does blow up and spin back snows into most big cities, and new England will be the jackpot closer to where it bombs out

TheTrials
Well.. At 12 hours it has a qpf bomb in the northeastern GOM yes, just made a post on that. NAM is already full of convective feeback jumping the surface low to the qpf bomb and is skewed south and east out of the box.
