psuhoffman
Hey, it's looking like your call from last week is working out pretty darn good! I like reading your thoughts, you know your stuff on here better than most. It's a shame you get some flack down there in that thread from time to time. Pop in here more often...your climo is better suited to our area anyway. thanks, this thread is more interesting right now anyways, they are mostly just salivating over radar down there and passing out congrats. JamieOber
Flurries starting to fly here with imminent heavier snow getting ready to head into Blair, should be interesting to watch this evolve this afternoon. What do you make of this? It's really interesting to see. I guess it's fun fun fun till the coastal takes our snow away, but I didn't think I would see a radar like that. Thinking of bumping your totals up a bit?

pawxworld
http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/index_loop.php I don't know it still looks like it is moving north, back building west and filling in where the coastal is developing. JB might just score a coup here if radar trends continue like this.

Festus
A new abc27 update: it will rain most the day because it'll be 34. No one sees 6". Harrisburg may get 2" after 7 pm. Before that is sloppy mix stuff. yea ... So I just got done watching abc27's noon TV broadcast. Thackera says "everything's going pretty much as we expected...". His map now shows an addtional 2 - 8" from Lancaster tapering northwest toward State College in addition to the 4" on average we've already received. "As expected" huh? !!! SERENITY NOW !!! MAG5035
This is the last update of my map. No changes to anything really except for the Philly region, where i finally relented with my thinking that mixing might cut into snow totals after this mornings thump of snow. Also broadened max range to 6-12.
canderson
Have we stolen another poster, this time psuhoffman? Hooray! Welcome to the best thread on this forum, our neweset friend! Your input is always greatly appreciated, you've had this storm nailed for so long it's really remarkable. Congratulations to you.
Itstrainingtime
From reading Horst's update, he doesn't sound very optomistic for those north and west of me. Actually, he doesn't sound that optomistic for me for that matter. He's calling for a range of an additional 3" to 7" across Lanc. county, with amounts tapering off quickly from SE to NW across the county.

MAG5035
So I take it the current radar trends won't last for us, eh? We'll see how things go this afternoon, I def like the radar trends for our neck of the woods. When I woke up around 1030 and saw it wasn't snowing and hadn't really snowed much I was pretty concerned that the precip wasn't gettin above the southern tier counties until I got on the computer. My map very well could bust low in parts of central/western PA but overachieving has been hard to come by this year so mother nature has to earn it. I primarily updated to take out the 3-6 zone in the far southeast since well, there was already reports of 3-6 inches in that general region this morning lol. EasternUSWX
Snow is nearing. I also spy thunderstorm moving toward the area.
pawxworld
snowing again, here. Light snow nothing accumulating yet. But the west it is backfilling and moving slowly towards the region. I am starting to feel better that we get another 4 plus here.
Festus
So I take it the current radar trends won't last for us, eh? What mechanism is there to stop it? In 2 - 4 hours, we'll be being entertained with 1"/Hr + rates. The returns are building south, not diminishing.
AlexP
Another interesting and unpredicted aspect to this storm is that the expected lull hasn't really happened here in Harrisburg. Granted, it's not snowing as hard as it was early this morning, but it hasn't stopped entirely either.

Festus
Do we dare get sucked in? Do we? I need time in my sensory depravation chamber after this one. If this is still there after I emerge in a few days, we'll talk. Going for the "PSUHazeltonWx" storm?

Going for the "PSUHazeltonWx" storm? Wasn't my discovery...it was posted in the banter threads over in the PHL/NYC subforum. The threat was kind of there on the 0z GGEM...but it doesn't go out beyond 144 on E-Wall. With that said....after the mess this last storm had...I'm not believing anything until the snow is on the ground.
