I've been out of the loop since a bit after noon, class and then the internet in my entire apartment complex has been out since before 2PM. Looks like I'll have to increase what I told my parents in Lebanon County to expect. I'd be thrilled if we could pick up 2-5" here in State College, considering I was at the point where I figured we'd be lucky to see an inch.

Here was my first call map from last night, I'm probably gonna have to give in and give philly their 6+ when i update this later in the evening. But i still think mixing is going to show up in that southeastern 3-6 zone in some fashion.

That map is a mirror of Weather World's.

You Penn State people all think alike

Cant say that yet. Last storm we were supposed to see 3-5". 27 called for .9". I got .75".

99% sure it won't happen though...that is a ridiculous forecast and misleading to the public...may begin as a rain/snow mix but no way is it mostly rain all day. do they even have degreed mets at that station?

Either these stations are betting on a far west track (warmer temps) or maybe even east (Warm enough and precip too light for dynamic cooling).

In either event, I don't see how MDT sees less than 4" at this point. 6" looks like a lock.

yep, the general public is going to be in for a rude awakening on the commute home tomorrow, if they're only expecting 3-6 inches tops.

A new abc27 update: it will rain most the day because it'll be 34.

No one sees 6". Harrisburg may get 2" after 7 pm. Before that is sloppy mix stuff.

yea ...

Considering their 6:00 PM telecast said more than that and every model is showing more than that and...umm...well...

Because they will have more and heavier QPF. The lighter the precip is tomorrow, the more likely that the snow mixes with rain.

It makes perfect sense to me...
