40/70 Benchmark
To be honest, I think it took a step towards the euro with a developing CCB as compared to 18z. It may a little late to the party and quicker to leave, but it forms a nice looking CCB Wed Night. Scott, it def. took a step toward the EURO...don't know if you read my interpretation, but the s stream is about dead-nuts on the EURO; the kicker in the n stream is just more assertive on the GFS. OSUmetstud
After looking at QPF, it's about exactly as I thought....6-12", highest se. I agree, Nick......we know the drill about the nw extent of QPF. the direct qpf output of the GFS doesn't really concern me that much...even the track could be quite favorable. However, the strung out nature of the system is starting to become more intriguing/worrisome.
Clinch Leatherwood
Gfs concerning. Cut way back in nw and keeps the low disorganized for a while until the 500mb starts wrapping up. That gets close to an ugly solution back my way. I suspect even the Euro will have this two part dance tonight.
weathafella
This is by no means a done deal....look for a trend westward at 12Z.

DavisStraight
Well see I like this part, especially when it takes the tick NW. This is robust to me. Its good for your spot in Ct, not as good for northern MA
shawnmov
Off to bed now. Will check in on the Euro in the AM. Bottom line, nothing really changed with the 0Z models.... yet. One major to go, I guess. Later! Think Snow.
Clinch Leatherwood
I say it won't. We have a beer bet. I believe we'll see two distinct areas of moisture inside of 48 hours, one associated with the offshore feature, one back with the ML.

Yeah it is, it's still fast compared to the euro at 12z, which is why the qpf is a bit less. That little nrn stream s/w is helping to flatten heights a bit as well. GFS very progressive. 40/70 Benchmark
UKMET looks Euroesque. Check the N stream.....looking Euroesque in the stream is only half the battle.

Ginx snewx
If be worried about the trend though. The trend has been to give me all snow and increase my QPF. Ukmet makes it 3.The GFS had no precip in here last night, neither did the NAM, not trusting them but if a trend is what you say I should look for, it is colder more snow. Clinch Leatherwood
UK V GFS not all that different at 48, GFS no surprise is moving faster at 60...but they're dead nuts at 48.

I believe that is the case right now, much more in the offshore warm sector, easy bet since it is already modeled on all.

Clinch Leatherwood
Yeah this is a pretty bad run for WNE. I still think this comes a little NW. I'm thinking the NW trend to any scale is probably not happening. GFS and UK are pretty darn similar from what I can see. Def suggestion of a couple of different precip maxes.
