Parsley
Seems like Graterford has been a few degrees colder than Spring Mount on clear nights lately. Only got down to 28 this morning. Interesting......I actually made my first drive up to Spring Mount since moving to Graterford in 06'. Hard to believe, ha?
daxx
it has backed off big time from the 0z run and postpones the true cold air. The first one is transient. Tom, is the euro showing any storms in the long range?

jrodd321
00z GFS just looking like a series of troughs. Cold never really locks in at all. Interested to see what the Euro says tonight and if it continues the cold regime it's been showing as of late.
tombo82685
00z GFS just looking like a series of troughs. Cold never really locks in at all. Interested to see what the Euro says tonight and if it continues the cold regime it's been showing as of late. 0z euro has the cold shot next week thurs to sunday, then it moderates out in front of the mega front t giving week. Behind that front it has 498 and 492 dm working there way towards the us/ca border. Highs in the single digits and teens in the plains and west. Also has a huge east to semi west based nao. a 582dm hgt over greenland.
tombo82685
this looks good, but remember even if the nao is east based it shows as negative. To have a west based nao you want the block to go back into baffin island region, not over greenland. We do need that pna to switch to positive. When its negative like this most likely any cold shot is going to be transient.

LVblizzard
Has anyone been watching the medium-range models? There's a hint of a possible coastal storm next Friday, it all depends on how far south the trough digs.

Ryanweather
peaked at 67.3° this afternoon. blew away my expectations i hope what they say about November being the opposite of winter is correct...
ChescoWx
Except this November has been colder than normal...even with today's above normal we are still 2.6 degrees below normal here in NW Chesco. Plus with the cold weather wrapping in later in the week - I would bet this will be a pretty well below avg month...might not bode well for the rest of winter for those that like the cold! peaked at 67.3° this afternoon. blew away my expectations i hope what they say about November being the opposite of winter is correct...
